Brief
A window display highlighting the American Museum of Natural History’s Davis Family Butterfly Vivarium experience. Imitating a butterfly’s point of view, the window proscenium creates a camera lens perspective leaving the viewer with a “larger than life” experience.

Vibrant pink oversized hibiscus flowers made from thick crepe paper fill the scene against the blurred backdrop. A giant 6 feet long hand, crafted from chicken wire, paper, and dry compound emphasizes the natural interactions between visitors and butterflies, capturing the excitement of having a butterfly land on your finger. The small child mannequin casted as a butterfly reminds the viewer about the fragility and beauty of butterflies in their natural environment.
The window is up at FIT's Pomerantz Center in the Joe Powers Memorial from May 2024 to Spring 2025.
